Site Log, an app by DevStudio · Last updated 1 September 2026
Site Log is a record-keeping app for properties, events and projects. This policy explains what it collects, why, and who it is shared with. It applies to the iOS app and the services behind it.
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Email address | To create your account, sign you in, and send password resets |
| Password | Stored only as a cryptographic hash. We never see it |
| Photos you upload | To show them in the app's photo log and gallery |
| Documents you upload or write | To store and display them |
| Text you enter | Captions, notes, issues, tasks, procedures, inventory counts, contact details of vendors you add, and site names and addresses |
| Assistant conversations | To show your chat history and give the assistant context |
We do not collect location data, advertising identifiers, contacts from your device, or usage analytics. There is no tracking, and nothing is sold or used for advertising.
Site Log relies on three service providers, all acting as processors on our behalf:
| Provider | What it handles |
|---|---|
| Supabase | Account authentication, database and file storage. All of your content is stored here |
| OpenAI | Powers the in-app assistant. See below |
| Resend | Delivers account emails — confirmations and password resets. Receives only your email address |
When you ask the assistant a question, we send that question along with a limited snapshot of the site you are viewing to OpenAI so it can answer. That snapshot may include photo captions, issues, maintenance schedules, inventory, vendor contact details, document names and extracted document text, and notes you have written.
Your question and the answer are stored in your account so the conversation persists. OpenAI processes this data to generate a response. We do not use your data to train any model, and OpenAI's API terms state that data sent through it is not used for training.
If you would rather your records were never sent to a third party, do not use the assistant. Every other part of the app works without it.
You can delete your account from inside the app: tap the profile icon on the home screen and choose Delete Account. This permanently removes your sign-in credentials and your membership of every site.
Records belonging to a site — photos, documents, issues and so on — are kept if other people still have access to that site, because they are shared working records rather than personal data. Sites where you were the only member are deactivated. If you want a site's contents erased entirely, contact us at the address below.
Content stays until you delete it or delete your account. Backups may retain deleted content for a short period before being overwritten.
Data is encrypted in transit. Access is restricted so that you can only read records for sites you are a member of, enforced at the database level rather than only in the app. Files are held in private or access-controlled storage.
Site Log is a business tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from them.
You can access, correct or delete your data from within the app. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights over your personal data, including requesting a copy or objecting to processing. Contact us and we will respond.
If this policy changes materially we will update the date above and, where the change is significant, notify you in the app.
